I was using abacre on xp, now I bought a new pos system which came with Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. I can't change preferences, I change, click ok, but when i got back all in default set. Also cannot key in any stocks.
We don't support Embedded edition of Windows. We support XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
Please verify may be you can turn Windows XP compatibility mode (if you right-click on ARPOS's icon on desktop and use Options command).
Any idea what could be the problem? 2009 has support till 2019 which is more than xp, why abacre not giving support, maybe support team can consider about this.
I can add new menu, new customer to the database, software saves all sales in database but cannot change settings and also cannot enter stock.
That means; settings are not written on database files in my documents. Where are they written and what database is that? I think that database software is missing in 2009 compare to xp. If i install that i am sure problem will be solved.
Everything is saved in to configuration files that are always located in folder:
\My Documents\Abacre Restaurant Point of Sale 5\
So verify that this folder is accessible and you have write access rights for it.
Database file is located by default in the same folder
\My Documents\Abacre Restaurant Point of Sale 5\
But you can change location of the database file.
Database engine for local databases is automatically installed with program. So it's not a problem.
