batch mode find and replace for <#f3> won't work. why?

Post by bupalos »

Hi, I ran a batch edit on a bunch of files that worked great, except for the following- wherever I had something enclosed in these characters < > it did not find. I did not have regular expressions on.

What happened is I am editing an ascii file where all the accented characters in Spanish were replaced by codes like <#f3> or <#e1> for é. Am I not allowed to use those in the search for some reason, and how should I go about fixing that?

Thanks! Probably be buying this if I can get it to work.

Disregard that for now. It's not the <> I don't think, it's something else.

I'm checking.
