Backup option not placing files in specified directory

I was running some tests for the backup functionality for AFR. I created a test file on my desktop. I selected the option to have AFR save a backup to a specified directory on another drive (V drive). AFR is defaulting the .BAK to be saved on the desktop where the original file exists with the .BAK extension. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Found out that under the Options dialog box that on the Advanced tab that you need to check ALL of the following boxes to get this to work correctly:
- Backup Files before Replace or Batch Replace
- Create backup files with BAK file extension
- Backup Files into ZIP archive
I didn't have the "Backup Files into ZIP archive" option checked.
Just curious though...should this work even without having that box checkmarked?
