As I said in my post the trail version was unistalled the download install link was used as well as the key that was given in the e-mail. how do I know whether the key and the version go together

I had a trial version of advanced find and replace. Puchased a full version, our IS department unistalled the trail version and installed the download sent to us and installed the key, now I recieve the following message
"Access violation at adress 00FB021A. Read of address 00000004"
